The 100 CD’s Project began on October 20, 2009 as an experiment in getting my new CD out into the world. You can see all the posts relating to the project here.
A mere 24 hours after the 100 CD’s Project began the first CD has been found! One of my babies found a home…if only for a brief moment.
I was so excited to see an email with the subject “CD #15” in my inbox:
Jason –
Found your CD (#15) in Fremont Monday, it was in a rock garden at the end of Evanston Ave near the canal. I was walking with a friend and when I saw it my first thought was she had set that up as a present for me and she thought the same thing, haha. Here’s a photo of it my friend took with her iPhone.
I checked out the CD and while it’s not my kinda thing I love the idea and the passion you put into it. Mind you, it sounded and looked very professional, just not a jazz fan.
I wrapped it back up and left it up on Capital Hill tonight, I hope it finds a good home. I put it on the Hendrix statue, figured a lot of people would see it, and it was gone when I went back by a few hours later.
Best of luck to you!
Doug
So, little CD #15 continues its journey! Who knows where it may end up?
And so far I’ve had people in Houston, Portland, New York, Cleveland, San Diego and Chicago volunteer to leave CD’s in their cities! If you’d like to earn yourself a FREE copy by being an accomplice, leave a comment and let me know where you live.
I’d love to help with your cd project. I live in Baltimore, Maryland.
I am in Cleveland, TX and I love Jazz!!! Also a bass player who would love to help!!!
