The 100 CD’s Project began on October 20, 2009 as an experiment in getting my new CD out into the world. You can see all the posts relating to the project here.
Another CD has been found, and this one by a jazz fan! And not just any jazz fan, but someone who knows Tatum Greenblatt, my friend and the composer of “Mance’s Dance”, the second track on the CD! Once again, Seattle shows itself to be the small town that it is.Here’s the email I received from Brian this morning:
Jason:
Yes, I’m one of the recipients of a surprise copy of No More, No Less. I found mine while walking my bike through the Ballard Locks earlier this week, and was very intrigued by the plain brown wrapper packaging with the note on the outside.
I was also intrigued since I’m a long-time jazz fan and a bit, um, older. How old? Well, I used to work with Tatum Greenblatt’s dad, Dan, and even took photos for a CD that Dan produced on his own label. It was a Chuck Metcalf recording, “Elsie Street,” that featured George Cables and Dan himself.
I’ve been enjoying the CD and plan to loan it to a few friends. Congratulations on completing your project, best of luck with your release and release party!
Brian
So far so good! As CD’s go out to all corners of the globe I’m excited to get more reports back. I’ll keep you posted.
Jason,
What can I say, you are unbelievably talented! I enjoy everything you produce. I am taking No More No Less to California with me, so I am sure you will be getting some orders from down south. Wish we could be at the release party on Saturday!
Cheers,
Adam
I love the new header. I usually read via RSS, so I hadn’t seen the hand-drawn image. Good times!
You should post videos & pics from the release party!
Thanks, Cory! That hand-drawn image was done by my lovely wife!
And yes, there will be video…
