The 100 CD’s Project began on October 20, 2009 as an experiment in getting my new CD out into the world. You can see all the posts relating to the project here.

It’s so exciting to receive an email from someone who found one of my 100 CD’s Project CD’s, especially a few months later! My mom was kind enough to drop some CD’s around Houston for me back in November, and today I received this note from Ben:

CD #55 Found!

CD #55 Found!

“Hey Jason!

I found #55! It was sitting just like the picture above in the Broch pavilion! I am a musician myself and it was awesome to see your vision in action. Love the album! The Jazzy feel is pure and simple goodness.

Here is my website: Ben Bah.com. It is pretty undeveloped as I am still really busy trying to graduate with a mechanical engineering degree from Rice. You can download my music for free here.

Let me know what you think if you get some time. Sorry I didn’t get back to you earlier. It took me a while to get around to really giving your album a good listen. I’m really glad I did though!

-Ben”

Thanks Ben! I’m really glad you found it and that you dig the music! I downloaded your music and I’m listening to yours as I write this. Sounds great! Everyone should take a moment to click the link above and check out Ben’s tunes.

I have 15 CD’s left to get out and then all 100 will be somewhere in the world looking for a good home. 5 are going to Iraq, and I’m going to take the last 10 with me on the Jason Parker Quartet tour in May and leave one in each town we play. I’ll keep you posted…

Such a cool idea, Jason!

Can’t wait to see you guys next month! Thinking about doing a door show at the University for you guys – just ask people for donations and see where that leads. We could do the gig with little or no set-up…

Just a thought.
